Four case studies
Four of the sites above have a page behind them explaining what was wrong, what got built and what happened afterwards. The rest link straight to the live thing, because more case studies would tell you less than one click already does.
They get written when there is something worth saying that the site itself does not already say.
London City Plumbers
The largest site I have built: 106 pages covering 88 postcode districts, two trades, for a firm with its own 4.8 from more than 190 Google reviews.
Rabiu Plumbing and Heating
The cold call David nearly put the phone down on, and the review he left afterwards telling people to stay on the line.
L.C Plumbing Services
A Gas Safe plumber's site that led his credentials rather than burying them, and the client who came back to hand over his advertising.
Land & Mortar
A garden design studio with project photography most firms would envy, and nowhere online that did it justice.
How to judge them
Open three of them on your phone rather than taking my word for any of it, and judge them the way a customer would, with somebody else’s site open in the next tab. The first screen should tell you the trade, the patch and a way to get hold of the firm without scrolling. The photographs should be the firm’s own jobs rather than a stock library’s, and the rating, where there is one, should be a number you can find again on Google or Checkatrade under the same name. The form should ask for as little as it can and still get the job quoted. Not every site does all of that yet, and the ones that do not usually say why on the page, the way Charles’s empty review section does. Some went live months ago and some in the last few weeks, so some are further along than others, and the table further down says how many pages each one runs to today.
