Roofing is sold on the last roof you finished.
Two roofing sites are live right now, and you can open either one and read it the way a customer standing in their front garden would.
The two that are live.
Both of these sit on the roofer’s own domain and both were re-fetched on 8 August 2026. Open them before you read another word of mine.
A roof gets bought by somebody who cannot see it.
They are on the pavement looking up at work they will never properly inspect, so what they are really deciding is whether you turn up when you said, do the part nobody can check, and leave the drive swept. One photograph of a finished roof settles almost none of that, which is why both of these sites carry the job while it was still open.
Cody’s carries every stage of the week rather than one shot of it finished and swept. He does re-roofs, new roofs, flat roofs, repairs, chimneys, leadwork and slate, and the site walks a job through in numbered stages so somebody can picture that week from their kitchen window before they ring anyone.
One of them does not name a single town.
Fully Covered opens with “Your roof, fully covered.” in white type on charcoal, and there is not one location word anywhere on it. That absence is deliberate, and it reverses what nearly every trade site does, with the town bolted into every heading and repeated in the footer.
Leaving the towns out costs something in local search, and if you want yours built the same way you should hear that beforehand. It is his firm, so it is his call to make, and quietly slipping a town back in behind him would have been building somebody else’s site. He came to me as a referral, the first one I had.
The other one has review slots left deliberately empty.
Southridge covers roofing, rendering, driveways, patios, drainage, retaining walls and landscaping across Beckenham, Chislehurst, Catford, Blackheath and the rest of south east London and north west Kent. When Charles and I built it there was no review history to put on it, so the section where reviews go says exactly that: real customer reviews will appear here, in their own words, as they come in.
Above it sit before and after pairs with a line stating plainly that nothing in them is stock or borrowed. Inventing a handful of glowing paragraphs and signing them with initials would have taken an afternoon, and it is the thing that gets a new firm caught by the first customer who goes looking for the names.
What I would need off you.
Photographs off your phone, taken on the job instead of after everything is cleared away, and enough of them that a stranger can follow one roof from stripped to finished. A before and after has to be the same roof from roughly the same spot, because a mismatched pair is the first thing a sharp customer spots.
Then whatever you hold that can be checked goes on: your Google rating where somebody can click through to it, your guarantee, your insurance, your trade body. If you have not got those yet, your site says so in plain words rather than borrowing anybody else’s, which is what Southridge does until Charles has the real thing to put there.
Send me the last roof you finished.
Neither roofer has written me a Google review, so there is nothing from either of them to quote here. What there is instead is two addresses that load, fullycoveredroofing.co.uk and southridgeroofingandground.com, and you can read both without asking me anything first.
If you want the same, send me photographs of a job you are proud of and the towns you genuinely want work from, and you will get a straight answer about what I would put on the front page and what I would leave off it. My email is cameron@adamantine.app if that is easier than a form.
